Central convenience problem

Featured Replies

Hi

i wonder if anyone can help with the above, a few weeks ago one icy morning I went to lower the front windows but they were frozen, when I tried later they’ve stopped working, it also turns out that the central locking isn’t working either. I presumed I’d blown a fuse and have checked ALL fuses in the fuse box on the end of the dashboard and the one under the bonnet next to the battery but all seem ok.

the symptoms are

None of the electric windows work from ANY of the switches

The central locking doesn’t work on any of the doors but the fuel flap still locks and the alarm still arms

The central locking does not work off the switch next to the gear lever either

Has anyone experienced this before and could give some pointers

many thanks

Check the drivers door wiring loom, where it goes from the pillar to the door.  I had similar faults when some of the wires had cracked in there on my Yeti, doors not locking or unlocking, windows doing weird things.  I think it's a known problem on older yeti's, mine is a 2012 model.

Cheers

Andy

Thanks Andy I’ll give it a check

Looks like you need to update your details?

Any of the wiring looms to the doors can fail and cause this issue, although drivers normally goes first. If you do have an issue with the drivers door loom, the passenger one may fail soon as well.
