Returning to the car and noticing the damage absolutely does my head in. People that do this are idiots and it's us that have to fix it (or live with it).

Same thing happened to mine in a car park only the damage was at the rear. It's sickening. Someone left a note on my windscreen saying they'd seen it happen but they only managed to get a small part of the reg number which was no use.

What is so annoying these days is that even if you find the driver responsible ( and settled by them )and it's taken by your insurance as a no claim incident , a lot of other insurers/brokers now load next year. And if it goes through insurance ,even a new wing on an 04 car might end up as a write off .

I've still a text from my last insurer about  an incident where a van drove into my front wing whilst mine was parked outside house. Recorded as "notification only" , yet some brokers tried to load me.

Hopefully it'll T cut out .

Don't deal with brokers, deal direct, brokers are not regulated by the FCA and can charge whatever they like for their services.

The loading is a ruse to increase their profit, don't pay it by going elsewhere, brokerage is still living in the old west.

I always compare the market(Meerkats ) , and check the company. This year even with a bit of what I call "phantom" loading one broker came out tops, but with the same insurer.
