Fabia facelift front bumper removal

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I’ve been trying to get the front bumper off my Skoda Fabia.  I’ve removed all the necessary torx fasteners etc, apart from the two on each side that join between the front quarter panel and the bumper - they seem impossible to get to.  Can anyone shed any light on how I should go about getting these two (On each side) removed please?

The screws I’m referring to are numbered 2 in the following diagram:

Vehicle details:  Fabia, 1.2 TSI, MY13, facelift MK2

Thanks in advance!

When I took mine off I took out both wheel arches first, makes it much easier.

Thanks for the reply.  I took the wheel arch liners out, it didn’t seem to make much difference,  Those two screws are still seemingly impossible to get to!  Did you use a specific tool?  I’ve tried with my smallest 1/4” ratchet with a torx bit but still not able to get to them.

Thanks again for the reply.

I don't really remember if I used a small ratchet or a torx key but I didn't use anything special, sorry

Its just two torques holding it on each side I found it easiest to reach in and put the torque bit in the screw and then squeeze the ratchet in and connect it to the torque bit.

The first time I ever removed it when I never had the correct tools I managed to remover them with allen key shaped torque bits however it took forever, A lot of feeling about but yu can squeeze your head in after removing the arch liner to see what your doing and make life a bit easier.

Thanks for the reply.  I'll give it another go.  I'll try the method of putting the torx bit in the screw first, sounds like that may just work.
