Default Driving Mode

Featured Replies

Morning all, signed up to the forum specifically to pick your brains on this one as it is driving me scatty.

Recently got a 2019 Superb as a company car.  I spend most of my time on the motorway and so want economy.  I have worked out how to set the individual driving mode settings to give me eco settings for engine, gearbox and ACC.

Is there a way to set these settings as default or save them between runs?  At the moment I have to remember to press my driving mode button 3 times every time I get in, and I often forget.

I have paired the key with my user profile, and managed to successfully get the car to remember where the seat and the mirrors go.  I can't imagine that this would be a feature and a favourite/usual driving mode not...

Any help gratefully received!

I'm in the same predicament as you car always starts in normal then I press the mode button near the gearlever and then the Eco symbol from the 4 options on the screen. I assume you have the 7 speed DSG like me and I believe it is to stop owners starting their cars in Sport and then thrashing the engine before getting upto temperature but admit it is a pain. Like you I tried to save my preferred options into Individual but the car does not remember this setting reverting back to Normal every time you start it. Frustrating to say the least but I understand from the engineer's point of view.

Yep, 7 Speed DSG.

I became a skoda convert when I bought a high mileage mk2 several years ago.  What was notable was how much thought had gone in to the design and making things easier for the driver.  If they don't have the ability to store modes it seems like maybe they have let things slip on this front.

Hi tumtitum, amost identical thread currently happening...(since march) bit more background info that may be useful.

My my17 remembers eco gearbox mode but not sport. So many spec changes...
