Engine Management Light on

Featured Replies

Hi I need some advise please?  My 2013 Skoda Scout (75k) Engine Management light keeps coming on, no loss of power and its the same fault code every time, Throttle Position Sensor.  I can clear the code and it runs for quite some time before coming back on.  I have read somewhere if you have had the recall done by Skoda to recorrect the emissions issue they had it extends the warranty on your engine, specifically engine management light coming on.  Does anyone know of this ?

There was a 24 month peace of mind Guarantee type thing given which Dealership Staff like to pretend means nothing much, as it really did not.

You should have the paperwork that should have been provided at the time of The Fix being done.

Sadly I don't have this, it was a company car and always serviced at a Skoda dealer, as was the mod, never got any thing like this.

I.m thinking I'll have to bite the bullet and fit a new EGR valve.

Likely done not long after VW Group / Skoda started doing them then and far more than 2 years ago.
