No power to 12v socket in console or boot

Featured Replies

Hi all,

just gone to plug the old mobile in whilst on route to the petrol station to treat the motor to a spot of the old v-power for a change, only to discover no power to the 12v adaptor I was using. At the Shell Dino-juice station I checked the adaptor in the boot, still nothing.

Figured they shared a fuse and thought that was the issue, got home and checked, they don’t share a fuse, and both are OK.

Figured it was the adapter, so tried it the the roomy roomster, it worked fine.

Any ideas? Is there an under bonnet fuse or something for the 12v that I can check before going back to the dealer again. (Id prefer a quick fix myself if possible)

Right ignore me. I’m an idiot.

basically don’t believe everything you read online. I double checked the manual as it seemed odd that the 12v circuit would have 2 separate 30amp fuses which is what I had seen online, it turns out that thefuses I had checked were for the blower and rear heater, they both have working fuses!

After checking the correct fuse location it is indeed blown, I’ll be picking up some more tomorrow, problem solved.
