Windshield wiper (front) not working

Hello all,

I am driving Skoda Rapid 2013 model (Reg no - FR13 JUH). Recently I get into this problem where my car front wiper stopped working.

Consulted the garage, and according to them fuse is fine, relay is fine and motor is fine.

Just because I need my car badly, garage technician made the wiper wiring connection direct and gave a switch. This switch needs wiper control (under steering)  to be ON, for wipers to work. Doing so when I switch on wiper works OK, and wiper motion stops exactly when I switch off.

Now the garage technician have gave up and not sure what would be the problem. Can anybody please help??
