Fabia 3 Rear Seat Belt

Featured Replies

Had an issue with the middle rear seat belt on a MK3 Fabia Estate, it was stuck solid that tight it was digging into rear seat padding.

Car is only 6 months old so took it back to dealers, they said t was our fault for folding down the rear split seat without slacking the middle belt off first and it would cost us £200 to repair. (brilliant we have not done this yet)

Said a few choice words and left, on arriving home folded forward the base seat unit pad moved the stuck down carpet flap by the seat belt  clip for the right rear belt and the fixing anchor for middle belt, unbolted the splined  fixing bolt allowing belt to relax, pulled up some slack allowing lock to release then pulled a load of slack out  and used a clothes peg on the belt to stop it going back into the rear seat by the plastic shroud around the hole  then re-fitted the spline bolt and belt support and clasp back into base part of the seat issue fixed all of 15 mins work that would have cost us £200

No wonder main dealers get the name they deserve, won't be using them for service of the car will find an approved service centre when warranty service is needed

My Skoda dealer told me I needed new windscreen wipers when I'd had new ones fitted at Halfords 3 days before.

Sadly money not customer service is the priority with many main dealers.
