Clutch pedal getting hard/stiff

This week I noticed that my clutch pedal sometimes is getting stiff/hard to press. Only noticed this while driving not when still.

It never happened two times in a row. The biting point has not changed and it does not slip.

Any suggestions or ideas what to check? Do not want to get stranded in the middle of nowhere.

It's often (not always) an early indication of a worn clutch.

    It’s strange only when the dpf is regenerating the clutch pedal goes rock hard. Near impossible to push down so heat related
