I have a 2003 Fabia hatch.  Fuel flap cable has come unplugged in the boot.  I've stuck it back in before, but this time it won't go.  Cable end has a coil spring showing, which I don't remember seeing before.  Does the cable need replacing?  Is this difficult.

Have people not reported sorting this in a more permanent way by adding in a cable tie ?
