Hi all,

just taking a quick trip to the mk3 darkside rather than my usual mk1 home.

I need a small bit of info please if possible, a friend of mine is looking at a 19 plate vrs 245 at the weekend and I am going to look it over with him.

What I would like to know please is what designation code the DSG box is likely to be. He says that it is a seven soeed unit, does that make it a DQ200 or a DQ250?.

Are these a fairly reliable buy, or do they have issues to be cautious of?.

Many thanks for any info in advance, this fella is a very good friend of mine, and I want to give him the best help and info possible.

Think it's the same DQ381 as my 7 speed DSG in my 2019 Superb 272 because in the RS245 it has to cope with 242bhp and 370nm of torque. My Superb has 268bhp and 350nm. Oil changes on this gearbox are now at 80,000 mile intervals as the old 6 speed DSG needed servicing at 40,000 miles.

Thanks for that. I'll be getting into this tomorrow for him

DQ380 or DQ381, if you have OBD Eleven a scan will tell you.

Cheers
