Skoda octavia MkI

Featured Replies

Hello guys, i own a Skoda Octavia from 2002 1.6L 102ps and i have a problem with my engine(maybe). So as i am driving normally the cars runs fine but after a 20min drive it shows me the TCS light on the dash. When this happens the car is slower and consumes much more petrol than it would normally consume.

Also the engine makes a diesel like noice. That continues till i switch off the engine and let the car cool down. Can someone tell me what that supposed to mean? And what can i do to fix it?

I don't understand "TCS light". Do you mean the ASR or the CEL? or maybe the ABS?

ASR light.

The reduced performance etc is because the car thinks you have wheelspin and is backing off the throttle in an attempt to compensate. Get the codes read, and expect a problem with one or more of the ABS sensors to be reported.
