Changing front indicator bulb passenger's side

Featured Replies

Short of shrinking myself down to Borrower size - is there actually a way to change the indicator bulb on the passenger side of the car?  It seems to be completely blocked by the battery.  Am I better conceding defeat and going to Halfords?

I have to take the front panel off the battery cover (think it slides upwards on two tabs off the top of my head), undo the battery clamp, then I can just about get in. The bulb comes out on the carrier if you turn the long, flat handley bit (not sure how much sense that makes).

I don't think they all have the sliding battery cover but it looks like this when they do....

I used to have a slide in battery cover, till I changed the battery. I've found the easy way to change the passenger side indicator is to disconnect both battery terminals ( TAKE NEG off first !!!!!), then take outer sleeve off . This gives you enough room to get at bulb/lamp/ BBut saying that I've only had to change one in the 13 years I've had car .
