Mapping

Featured Replies

I've just been pleasantly surprised at insurance quotes for if my 2.0TDI Octy was mapped.

Would appreciate any advice on who to use. I have been looking at this company:

Also, thinking that the blended option (see pic) looks good. I want more mpg as well as more power.

Thanks,

Mark

Had a 2013 (63 plate) Octavia 2.0TDi mapped at AmD in Grays, Essex who charge £500 with a 10% deposit and the balance interest free over 12 months which makes it easy to budget for. Skoda claim 148bhp and 236lb/ft for this engine but on their rolling road it produced 147bhp and 246lb/ft. It's 134 miles from our home to Grays and my car averaged 71mpg down there and after the remap managed 70mpg on the return. Ended up with 186bhp (gain of 39bhp) and 317lb/ft of torque and top speed increased from 135mph to 150mph. Very pleased with tuner and the map and recently returned with my Superb 272 which now has 359.6bhp and 514nm of torque and cost me £450.

WRONG WORD

Take it to the MAX, it's only as thirsty as your right footwear is heavy.

Shame, I wear steel toe cap boots 😉

May seem hard to believe but still getting 38-40mpg on my gentle economy friendly commute. Then again I've never had divers boots whilst driving.
