Superb Steering remote controls

Featured Replies

Has anyone replaced the HU on a Superb with an after market stereo and managed to get the controls working on the steering wheel?

I have fitted an Blaupunkt Nashville DAB35 to my Superb and can't get the steering controls working.

I have tried the official Blaupunkt harness but it is for Octavia's and also the Nashville isn't listed as supported.

Please help.

See my answer in your other post. the simple answer is, as far as I can see, no. At least I never managed to find one after extensive research and contacts not only with the suppliers of leads but also the makers.

Is it Skoda's fault, as your last post suggests? No I don't think so. They, like most modern makers are selling a complete car, with what they think has everything you need. If you want to upgrade get the sat nav, is their attitude. In fact the superb, with its standard Din slot, is better than most other new cars, which have in built custom audios that can't be replaced. My wife has just bought a Honda Jazz - no chance of an upgrade there! I suspect the days of after market fit of audio are over

Looks like I have a mini project coming up. Time to take the steering wheel apart and get see if I can get the wires connected up.

I do think it is Skoda's fault and also the fault of all car manufacturers. If they can't provide a stereo that has everything i.e DAB, MMC, perfect SatNav, MP3, perfect quality sound etc etc (which of course they can't) then they should make their systems viable for upgrading.
