Hi chaps,

I had my car repaired many years ago by BMW as was in a slight shunt, however the rear bumper insert strip seems to be about half an inch shorter either side near the wheels!

 

Does anyone have the correct part number to get a price to look at an Octavia one, I have a feeling it might be a Bora one they have fitted, unless the bumper is slightly different?

 It should be 1U6807423B , I think the estate has the "A" prefix from memory.

1U6 807 423 B is the sedan (hatch)

1U9 807 423 A is the Combi (estate)

This is weird, the strip on the car is 1u6 807 423 (but has no letter at the end)...any idea whats going on!

I seem to remember Group1rs had this problem on either his black vrs or his wrc, some while back, but I can't remember how he sorted it.

I tried a new strip, same results :(  Must be the bumper

I think they changed this strip (as this is what Group1rs) a while ago. Maybe a revision has gone on over the years, or a different mold?

I'll check the part number on mine later (Hatchback) to see if any revisions have taken place.
