Interior ambient light not available

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I come with an issue I am having with my Scala Ambition. The other night I was driving and wanted to dim the interior ambient light, my co-pilot tried in the menu but it said "It is not available at the moment" (something like that, it is in Spanish)

I tried again several times, when stopped, but still the same. It looks like an error or something stupid I am not doing. I tried Factory resetting the light settings with no luck. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Jose

The brightness of the interior ambient lighting is dictated by the levels of natural light inside the car.

There is a light sensor that controls the brightness of the ambient lighting.

It is also influenced by the operation of the vehicles exterior lighting too.

I do not think so. There was a menu with sliders to select the brightness of the different ambient lights, like the foot light and the instruments.

I clearly remember adjusting the brightness. Also, when I open the quick access drop-down I can see a brightness slider, however when I operate it it immediately says "not available"

I am going to pop up at the garage one of these days

Have you tried to reboot the infotainment?

Press and hold the on/off button for more than 10 secs., and wait till the system has restarted.

Sometimes it helps.

Hello, yes i’ve rebooted the system also tried factory reset and changed the fuse but still not on the menu.
:(

This is a common issue. I used obdeleven to soft reset the central electronics module (09) and the infotainment (5F). After that, it was available again. Maybe you can try, if you don't have VCDS or obdeleven, to unplug the cable from the battery and connect it after a few minutes.

Thanks finally I went to car service and they tried to find solution with service diagnosis but can’t than I told your recommendation. We wait 10 mins with out battery than viola it works.
