I found a quicker way to switch between AA and CarPlay and vice versa. Press the menu button and select phone. Then press setting and select something like "connected phones". The phones are then displayed. Swipe from right to left on the phone you want to connect and select the AA or CarPlay icon. After that, the infotainment immediately changes AA/CarPlay without having to disconnect first.

@artmes your infotainment has a versions that is too old to perform the update yourself. You are going to lose your swap code for navigation if you would do the update yourself. Ask the dealer to perform the update to at least 1896 (or 1941/1985). From 1788, you are able to update your system yourself without losing the swap code.

I also used your guide, thanks @Giannis20!! I have two questions: - did you change the fuse? I know that the standard fuse is 7.5A. - How did you connect the terminals to the wires correctly? I tried clamping them, but it does not seem sufficient. It's ok, but if you pull the wire, you pull the wire from the terminal. Thanks!

I have it on my Octavia iV as well. It first popped up sporadically. After a while, it popped up more frequently and I went to the dealer. It turns out it needs replacement. That will take place in July.

Solution to this issue when a menu item is "not available" is to pull the 12V battery, let it sit for around 5 minutes and put it back on. We had this with the Kamiq. Software updates and hard- and soft resets were not working.

You should first update the car to 1896. From that version, you can update to 1941.

That was not mentioned, so I cannot tell. But as it should be similar to seat/vw, probably a bit more responsive.

From factory, Skoda started to deliver the Octavia with the newer 1969 software. Someone from the dutch forum posted a photo of his Octavia screen with software 1969.

There is an option to switch, but it is not convenient. When one of the two phones is connected, press the menu button and select phone. Then press settings and something similar to "connected phones". In this menu, you see the connected phone via AA or CarPlay. Press one time the connected phone and it will disconnect AA or CarPlay. After that, press menu again, go to Smartlink and select the device you wish to connect. Like I said, not very convenient, but as far as I know the only option without disabling wifi/bluetooth on the connected phone.

The 12v is probably the easiest solution. Retrofitting (original) should also be possible. There are shops that provides the complete cable set for these kind of things, for example: Stoelverwarmingsharnas voor Skoda Fabia NJ, Rapid NH, Scala NW1, Kamiq NW4 (kufatec.com). Besides the cable set, you also need a different climate control panel, original heated seat matts and the control module for the heated seats.

Regarding the button for your parking sensors, Skoda only fits this button if you have front and rear sensors. If you only have the rear sensors, you will not have a button fitted. This is how it is done for all skoda models.

Mine is from december 2019 and the upper part of the seat was replaced by my dealer (NL). It also reclined over time. After replacement, the issue was completely solved.

There is no data link for the rear USB's, it is only for charging. There are solutions to connect it to the 12v charger. This is plug and play. See for example this for the Octavia/Kodiaq. This is a common issue. I used obdeleven to soft reset the central electronics module (09) and the infotainment (5F). After that, it was available again. Maybe you can try, if you don't have VCDS or obdeleven, to unplug the cable from the battery and connect it after a few minutes.
