Removing rear speaker trim

Featured Replies

Does anyone know how to remove the plastic trim that contains the rear speaker on the left/passenger side of the boot?

I need to get better access to the area directly above the rear lights to push out a dent.

Any pictures of this area with the trim removed would be greatly appreciated too.

You need to remove the seatbelt bracket and there are three torx screws holding the plastic trim in place.

Where are the screws located?

Also, seatbelt bracket?

You'll see them if you have a look for yourself. Removing the seatbelt isn't "required" but it makes life much easier. The rest of the trim is held on by metal clips if you need more access.

That's perfect, thanks.

Had a quick look during lunch at work today, and discovered an extra unexpected component below the rear speaker.

It's marked "zadni levy" which Google suggests is bulgarian for "back left" which makes sense.

Any ideas as to what this is?

That's the aforementioned seatbelt bracket and assembly... A large nut holds it in place. The large wrench in the spare wheel toolkit takes care of it, just in case.

Nothing unexpected about a rear seatbelt inertia reel assembly.

It is when you didn't realise it lived under there.

I thought it was behind the cream-coloured C pillar trim, just below the swivelly bit.
