Service Items

Featured Replies

My car is almost 4 and over 50k miles, would anyone know what service items would need doing this year? I can't seem to find a sensible list anywhere? Thanks.

Just tried live chat, they don't have a list, only that the timing belt is 5 years (no mileage limit). Why is it so hard to find information out from Skoda?

A Dealership can show you the Schedule or Guidelines for what should be getting checked or replaced.

What has it had in the last services.

Was Brake Fluid changed at 3 years?

Were the Spark Plugs changed?

Was the Air Filter Replaced?

Has the Pollen filter been replaced at 2 years, maybe due now.

As said above, at the 4 year service, with a 1.2TSI having covered roughly 50K miles:- oil + oil filter + air filter + spark plugs - if you want/need to also replace the pollen filter - that leaves the brake fluid, it should have been changed at/before the 3 year service time, and so again at the 5 year service time.

It would be a really good idea to also get a "wheels off pads/shoes out" brake service as well.

I did the spark plugs last year. I phoned the dealer and all they wanted to do to it was oil and filter and charge me £179 plus MOT fee on top. So I've booked it into the local garage instead. 😀

Do things not get a bit messy if you change some items early and then go on to hand it in to get what it should get done at yearly services?

When I say I, I mean the garage said they needed doing last service due to the mileage.
