Wireless Charging Problems

Featured Replies

Hello fellow Kodiaqs

My wireless charging pad suddenly stopped working. It detects the phones, tries to charge, then a cycle of on/off charging then it says "unable to charge mobile phone. Please remove........". No water has ever leaked in the compartment and compartment is empty. Phones charge fine on other charging pads. I have both android and iPhones, nowt working for both.

Anyone else had this problem or knows a possible easy solution ?

Regards,

Bez

As with a lot of electronic features on modern cars there's unlikely to be an easy or DIY fix.

The fact the pad is detecting the phone but actively deciding not to charge it, or is simply unable to charge it suggests a fault or failed component (the award for detective of the year goes to me 😂).

Ruling out the phone was a good move, but alas all that does is confirm the need for a dealer visit and a warranty claim.

Let us know how you get on.
