Does anyone know if a Mk3 Octavia VRS has exhaust 'flaps' from stock?

Simple answer no never fitted to the Mk3. Just Superb 280.

so what why is there an option when doing engine tests, I can select the Exhaust flap test, I hear bigg difference and the sound is louder then gets back quiet. i tried searching in the long coding ,byte 9 but don't see any options. I'm just confusted

The only MQB models to have a valved exhaust are the RS3, S3, Cupra and R. You can often tell on the S3/R as the inboard tips will be blackened, whilst the outboard tips (that are only 'used' in sports mode) are silver.,

Nothing else had a valved exhaust from the factory, from what I can see. Even the Superb lost the valves after GPFs were introduced.
