Aux - strange noise

Featured Replies

I have Blues with aux in my Yeti. I bought a good cable and i connected my phone to the aux. It heared the music but badly and with much strange noise...why? Can i improve that??

Bad lead, volume too high on phone? Is it 3.5mm stereo to stereo? Most of the Skoda’s I’ve had had a setting for the aux in volume (low, mid, high). Have a look at the manual for the unit you have fitted.

Presume the phone is OK on headphones?

If you have Bluetooth module you could use that, but presume you don’t as you’re using a lead.

If it’s still an issue with the input there are small plug in FM RF transmitters available that go into the cigarette lighter socket.

Hope you sort it.

I think the cable is good, but i shall check the volume phone and the three levels of the aux. Thanks.

I tried today different things with the sux settings. It improved but not much. I think this is it.

I used to get a lot of interference on my AUX-In if the cable wasn't fully pushed into either the phone or the AUX-In port on the car.

Sometimes when fully inserted it would do it, but by backing it out by 1mm or simply wiggling it cured the issue, but only temporarily.

Thankfully my current car utilises USB instead, which so far seems to be much more reliable.

First thing is try another cable - even if you think the existing one is good

Also ensure the headphone socket has not been "fluffed" - could be due a careful clear out. I've had trouble with this and now have little inserts to protech the headphone socket and usb C charger port when in my pocket etc.
