near side green indicator light stays on

Featured Replies

I have 2009 Octavia Estate. And for the past 10 years have had NO problems. Because of this coronavirus I have not used the car for over a month. Yesterday found out (as I am an idiot) that  my battery was totally flat. I have had it on charge all night. And now all in working order. BUT the nearside green indicator arrow illuminates when I turn the ignition on. It goes out when the engine is running. All bulbs are in working order. This has never happed before. Help please. ps My son used his diagnostic machine and no faults found...

Thanks for any help.

The battery might not be good enough now and could need replacing. As dodgy batteries cause electrical gremlins, people have said that a lot here

Thanks for your help. Will swop the battery with our other Skoda.Norm

I also have an 09 octy estate, with the nearside green indicator arrow illuminated. Mine is intermittent, although more on than off, and its when the engine is running too. My dipped beam green light sometimes disappears too.

I have been advised by multiple people (although yet to prove them right) that it is a dodgy earth in the instrument cluster.

Just in case the new battery doesnt do it- something else to look into
