Brake setup recommendations

Featured Replies

Hey everyone, I have a 2018 vrs 4x4 tdi and in the next week I’m going to be replacing the fluid due to the peddle being really soft and losing its bite. The disks and pads have a bit of life left on, but can anyone recommend good disk/pad upgrades as if I’m already getting the wheels off to get to the bleed nipples, then may as well change the lot.

I also have no idea what size the front and rear disks are... is the only way to find out to physically measure them?

links to disks and pads would also be useful!

thanks

Matt

You currently have 312mm front and 272mm rear discs. I don’t have a recommendation for that size sadly as I’m running 340/310. OEM is still good :)

The standard discs and pads are more than enough for your car. My old mk2 stage 2+ tfsi had 280bhp and the std 312s were fine with genuine skoda pads and discs. Your brakes will feel better once the fluid is changed

I replaced my discs and pads with OEM, and never felt short changed on topping power.
