Battery Cover Box for Octavia SE 1.0TSI

Featured Replies

Folks,

Need some direction.  Up here in chilly Scotland, I noticed that my husbands Octavia SE1.0 - doesn't have a battery cover.  My Scout - does, so I am wanting to retrofit (or find the appropriate VW part to fit).

He sports a Octy with a 75Ah battery (auto-stop/start - posh); wanting to protect his investment and keep his battery warm!

Can anybody give me a part number to go and investigate: example for those of you who may not know what I'm at: https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/5q0915411e-battery-cover-skoda-30345.html

This might be of some use ?

I thought the link in the opening post was expensive, but a quick look online and it's about the going rate!

If you're just after the hard plastic cover i.e. the battery is already surrounded by the felt sleeve (as it was in my 2018 1.4 TSI Kodiaq), then I simply bought a non-genuine (copy) plastic lid off Aliexpress...

You might also want to treat him to an engine cover too, makes it even quieter and offers some additional protection...

A proper OE hard plastic box with front back sides & lid from Ali-Express is a third of the price of the folded cardboard felt sprayed thing which is now sitting in my trailer amongst all the other rubbish for the dump if the restrictions are ever lifted, if not then I will end up eating it when the food runs out!
