Acceleration in virtuel cockpit - what does it do?

Featured Replies

Superb model 2020 - virtuel cockpit. What does acceleration do. Its very static - and I have seen any difference.

Time to try a bit harder 😀

But to be honest it’s a bit of a gimmick for kids.

We've got 2 of these digi dashes lying idle outside and found this option to be pretty worthless.

I quite like the minimalist option.

I have a bike with “only” 3 dash display options and always use the option showing Speed and Gear - with some minor data around the edges. Surprised myself by never needing a rev counter any more. And the analogue speedo calibration is just too small to read easily. A bit like a Skoda.

If it's always the same image you might have a broken accelerometer?!  I wouldn't imagine that's even possible to happen.

In principle it's supposed to show in which direction the acceleration/deceleration takes place, ie. UP for braking, DOWN for accelerating, LEFT for turning right, RIGHT for turning left, but why would that be useful on the dash, without an actual value to accompany it at least I can't really imagine...

Out of curiosity I'll go and check if mine seems to be working or it's a static gimmick too

You have to also accelerate and start moving or brake to slow down to that thing show something.

Whether I go from 0 to 156 mph or brake back to 0 - or anything in between - it doesn´t change...

About as handy as a G-Meter then. You only need digital speed and which gear you're in. Everything else is pointless window dressing.

Wrong as usual. Just because you couldn't have the digital dash in your 272 it doesn't mean it's pointless, quite the opposite.

I have 3 presets depending on the driving scenario I'm in which are all much more useful than any analog dash I had in the past and I actually wish I could save more presets. Truth be told I don't have the G-meter showing up anywhere but there's plenty other dials, gauges and a 3D Navi to choose from 😉

I was wondering about the same thing and found this thread via google!

I'm not really sure I got much wiser than before reading this.... But kinda sounds like I'm not missing out on much here....😐 I don't get the point of this option.
