Octavia 3 Central locking fault

Featured Replies

Hello Gents,

I have an issue on my O3 for quite some time: The central locking button on the dashboard is not working ... The green LED (when turning on the headlights) works, however the orange LED never turns on when the car is locked. (the Start-Stop button next to central locking works fine).

I have already bought a new panel and still not working. It is as if the whole button was disabled.

Do you know if the central locking button can be disabled with variant coding ? If so how to set it back ON ?

Thanks a lot.

Hi !

I can now answer myself : YES the central locking button can be disabled in VCDS ;)  and it had been in my car ,,,

Central electronics, long coding / byte 5 / bit 1 . Lock/unlock button directly connected to Body Control Module

Was at 0, switching to 1 solved my issue 👍

Cheers !
