Name these vrs alloys

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Im hopeful someone might be able to tell me some details for these alloys that I bought second hand.

I know they’re originally off a mk2 vrs, I’ve now fitted them to my mk3 as an upgrade to the horrid 16inch rims that were on it when I bought it. The 16‘s are now my winters.

Here in Switzerland I’m required to register the alloys with the SVK and to do so I need to show a certificate to say they’re suitable for my vehicle. Normally you can get this easily enough online but, I don’t know the Model name and manufacturer of the rims.

I know they’re branded Skoda but am also aware the vw group often outsources wheel manufacturing. Have done some internet research but am coming up with nothing.

Does anyone know the model name/number and manufacturer?

thanks

mike

UPDATE:

Thanks to the super helpful sticky thread above I’ve identified them as Zeniths. Just need to try to find the tüv certificate for them now.

Are they the 17" or 18" version of the Zenith?

They look under-tyred...

They’re the 18‘s. They’re on 225/40 rubber which (I think) is as they came from the factory.

They possibly look that way cos I took the pic just after I’d jacked the car up and fitted them so the springs are sitting higher in that picture than they actually sit in real life. Makes it look a bit like a scout which it isn’t. Looking much nicer now.

They look good. Yes, 225/40 standard on 18"s.  As you say, the springs probably haven't settled in the photo either.
