OK Controvertial statement time.  With the exception of the infotainment operation / position, I prefer the current car.  And to these eyes, white with 17" wheels does it no favours either. Discuss.

 

 

 

I think I marginally prefer the mk4, but there's not such in it.

 

What bothers me most if that you have to go with an engine above 1.5l to get Independent Rear Suspension. I wonder if this will be the case for 1.5l eTSI when it arrives, but I guess so because I believe this is the case with the new Seat Leon. The new Golf and A3 Sportback get IRS at 1.5l.
