Hi, I've got a 2006 Octavia 1.9 TDI . The central lock started acting up by not responding sometimes to the remote key ( thought it was dying batteries) then it stopped responding at all from the remote ( thought the batteries died completely ). Until today when I got new batteries for both of the remotes the car is not responding to them at all, the boot does not open at all ( both remote and the button on the lid ) and the central lock switch inside the car only works on the two front doors ( rear doors are always open ) has anybody got any idea what could have went wrong ?

Have you checked wires that run from car on right side out of door shut into right door front ,common fault sometimes . I had this with mine intermittent then I moved wires on the block and worked ever since . Read on Octavia page about it .

Yes checked them, they are perfect 

Check the forum in Octavias about it then as you have to eliminate certain things in order to save expense .
