Can  the fan/blower system be altered so that when i first turn the fan on after start up it does not switch the air con on automatically. It has not done this before, before if the temp was say 20 degrees with the air con off then when i switched it back on the next day it would be the same...... now it first starts up it goes to 22 degrees and the air con is auto on ?  Can it be amended in the system.

Does your car have Climatic or Climatronic? Climatronic has an Auto button which enables or disables the auto mode: the screen on the control panel will show this. If you don't want it to start up in Auto mode when you turn on the ignition just be sure to switch it off before you turn off.

 

Out of curiosity, why do you want to have it stay off when you start the car, especially with the current warm spell?

Regardless of it being in Auto or not, I've never known a car that has changed the temperature from where I left it. If you have it on say 20 and then press the Auto button than yes fair enough, it will go to 22 and put the aircon on, but thats not what the OP said?

I think the OP means as I think the climatic is not automatic. It should therefor start where you left it.

 

Should on auto too, I think so may be a glitch. I have hears of people saying they need to re-set it but can't remember if it was a fault, an occasional glitch, etc but I am sure its not meant to. Have you tried switching it to econ, prior to switching off at the end of the drive?
