Engine Fault codes 2.0 TDI

Featured Replies

Hi

I have an engine management light on mu 2014 2.0tdi superb for some time now. There is no loss of power at all, no noise in engine, no smoke from exhaust. Driving the car the only thing that i notice is that if you are driving up a hill and then down a hill when the car initially starts to go down the hill the car hesitates or holds back for a split second.  There are 5 fault codes in the engine control module. C013F, P1181, P1183, P276C and P131b.   I am not getting clear information online. I can clear the code but it comes back on again after about 5 minutes. Anyone come across this before?

Update. I can delete the 5 codes and the engine management light goes out.  Very soon afterwards the first 4 codes above come on again but they don't bring the  engine management light on. It appears to be P131b that brings the engine management light on. With the light reset I have let it heat up, driven it very hard and easy and the light doesn't come on. Then on another occassion just start the car from cold and within 10 seconds the engine management light is on.  I do occassionally get a start/stop fault on the dash display but that doesn't seem to be related to this problem.  Does anyone know what P131b is?  Thank you

What are you scanning the car with to generate those codes?

Hi, I was scanning with a Launch CRP129 Evo. I have looked into it again. The codes that i have given above are what comes up for the engine control unit when i do the standard health check.  When i go into diagnosis and  into engine control unit it shows 5 different codes as follows P181C00 -Gear recognition, P056800 Cruise crontrol, U111300, P15A000Neutral position sensor and P040300 EGR Circuit.  When i reset all codes the first 4 come on straight away but no engine management light. When the engine management light comes on P040300 comes on.   I take it from this that i have an EGR fault. Any way of knowing from this code if it is an electrical issue with the valve or if its blocked. Has anyone blanked the egr off and remapped out? Thank you
