I have had a number of different Skodas over the years with rear parking sensors as standard. However for the 1st time in my experience as I reversed rather close to an object today, the brakes were automatically applied.  Is this a new feature with rear parking sensors or just that I haven't come across it previously?

It's the first car that I've had that has got the feature although I haven't managed to trigger it (as yet). I can't imagine going back to having a car without rear sensors though. My brother-in-law has got a reversing camera on his Hyundai i30 which is excellent.

I have got a kamiq SE it is called manoeuvre braking you can turn it off if you don’t like it in the setting it dose tell you about it in owner’s manual
