Fitting a Kenwood KSC-SW11 in Skoda Karoq Edition

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have been out with my car all weekend trying to figure out how to fit a Underseat Sub...

I have pulled bits of trim off, scoured the forums, tried piecing bits of intel together, but still no joy :(

All I need is power, speaker + and speaker -

Can ANYONE give me some insight please before I lose my marbles...

Thank you :D

All you need will be be behind the radio /sat nav

Hi @patrolman,

I took the head unit out and it's a very thin unit with 2 or 3 cables going to it. Seems like it's just the screen.

I took the multimedia unit out the glove box and that's got lots of cables going to it but there is no diagrams or anything online to say what cable is which...

I'm lost haha

Just search Briskoda for KSC-SW11 - this has been done several times, you'll find all the info you need in those threads.

I have done this.  You are right the "head unit" in the dash is just a screen.

You will need to remove the glovebox to gain full access to the actual headunit with the SD card slots.

I used a parrot 1:1 SOT lead to fix between the headunit and the stock connector.  I then tapped into these wires to avoid any change of damage to the factory wiring.

There is a cone shaped grommet that can be accessed from the passenger footwell which is perfect for the power lead. This link details a golf but its the same for the Karoq.

Awesome thank you! :D

All this overkill for this Subwoofer.

Power can be taken from Fuse box as its only need 10amp max.

The main challenging part is how to mont to the floor , as velcro to carpet is not good enough for such small SUB and you something more connected to the floor.

Which headunit you have ?

All of the replies above that you call overkill are to get the speaker supplies. For the power I just went straight through the firewall grommit and attached it to a proper supply point by the battery.

@lowley88 I installed it yesterday, works spot on 😀
