Bike rack for Octavia ii vrs hatch facelift

Featured Replies

So I'm looking for a bike rack. I had a Halfords 3 bike boot rack but my new bike doesn't fit onto it, there's nowhere for the arm to go through the frame at the back. So I'm now looking at roof bars, but they cost a fortune to get the Thule fitted low drag aero bars and I don't know what I'd be looking for if I tried to get universal parts.

Anyone got any recommendations? I don't want some ugly blocks that drag so much I need to take them off all the time, of course cost is an issue though.

In all honesty a tow bar is the way to go if you can. It's the most secure way, less drag and also opens up the option of luggage racks, trailers etc.

I don't want to spend £250+ on Thule roof bars, I definitely don't want to spend more on a towbar

That's definitely worth a look, thanks

But also don't forget you probably need a lighting board with a rear mounten rack too as it blocks the lights etc.

The Halfords one mounts high, the only way to not catch the spoiler, so it doesn't block lights or number plates thankfully.
