Hi ive just bought a 2003/4 Fabia 1.2  the hooter works intermittently ive removed the steering wheel cleaned the contacts. then it worked for a little while but then stopped working again anyone got any ideas whats wrong please 

Try removing fuse 40 and giving it a clean.

Considering the age of the car, you might also have a faulty physical horn.  You can try this (electrically) by applying an independent power source to the horn (+ve and -ve) and see if it works.
