Front Parking Sensor Faulty Right Center

Featured Replies

Could anyone please point me in the right direction. I have a 2017 sportline superb, it is showing an error on the the right front centre parking sensor. Unfortunately the car is now out of its skoda warranty period so its down to me to sort it. Does anyone know if there is an easier way to replace the sensor rather than having to go to all the trouble of removing the front bumper along with inner wing covers etc. Any advice would be appreciated and thanb you in advance.

Had to replace my front left (closest to number plate) sensor when it got taken out by a stone chip. Got the part from ebay Germany as it was already painted same colour as car. Part number was 5Q0919275B. Now the fun part... No way to get at sensor without taking the wheels off, inner liners, disconnect the hose to the washer bottle and then removing the bumper. Attached below is the doc I followed with a pic of the car fully disassembled. 2 hours start to finish. Note car is on jacks only, would have preferred my axle stands but due to lockdown it wasnt possible. Two person job to remove the bumper(when pulling it off car as it does flex a bit) Hope this helps. Alan
