change of filters

At what interval should I be thinking on changing the fuel filter and air filter on my 2016 skoda octavia 1.6tdi the car has done 41.5 k the 18k service at the skoda main and the 36k service at the vauxhall dealer i bought the car from 2nd hand that was just a basic oil and filter change I've since changed the pollen filter myself due to nasty smells in the car after having the aircon regased the pollen filter was black and replaced with a mann fp pollen filter

Officially, according to the Skoda service schedule, 90000 km (55000ish miles) or 6 years for air filter and fuel filter on a 2016 1.6 tdi.

Personally, I would change them at 40000 miles max.

Mine is petrol but I replaced the air filter at 40000 miles and will do the next one at 80000 miles.

You’ll get a variety of opinions but the above works for me.

Yes I would do all filter at 40k. I did my fuel filter and it was black at 40k.

Considering how cheap and easy it is to change the air filter I tend to do it annually.

Personally I would change the air filter either every 10,000 miles or 12 months. The fuel filter I would do every 20,000 miles given its a diesel.

And if you're doing less than 10k miles per annum do the oil and filter anually. Agree with Ecomatt on the fuel filter every 20k.
