Activating Smartlink - how much to pay?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

Apologies, I know this topic has been done to death - I'm hoping for a mid-2020 update though! I've just bought a 2016 Octavia SE L.

Bit dissapointed that Skoda advertise all their >2015 cars as working with Android Auto but selling it as an optional extra. Nevermind - the annoying part is that as far as I can tell dealers just make up a price for it?

I've been quoted £205 in Bristol (my nearest main dealer) and £145 from the original selling dealer I had to call coincidentally in London.

Wondered if anyone had any recommendations how to get it done without paying more money for no reason, or what a reasonable price is?

Thanks,

Dave

The cheapest i've heard of from an official source is something like £138, so £145 isn't too bad.

There are people out there advertising via Facebook and the like who say they can enable it for less if you're happy to go down that route

£137 is the price to aim for.

I paid £120 at Pullmans Skoda

It was a £150 option to order with a brand new car, so anything less than that isn't too bad.
