Old question again - Octavia Bolero Mk2 add aux

Featured Replies

Morning all,

been having a look through forums - and now getting myself very confused at what to do. I don't think it's a hard question - I just know little about car audio systems.

We have a Mk2 Octavia with the Bolero head unit - with CD changer. I have the Octavia model without arm rest - so there's not AUX input hidden away.

Basically I want to install an aux connection - ideally mounting a female 3.5mm port into one of the blanks underneath the climate controls - so we can just run a male-male lead from a phone to play spotify etc.

Can somebody point me in the direction of instructions on how to connect the socket into the back of the head unit please. Then I think I need to get somebody to recode the stereo - is that correct?

I haven't actually removed the head unit to check the model number - but it looks like this type, that has the SD card slot in the middle at the bottom:

Any help much appreciated thanks.

Looks like no one has answered this. Would like to do the same adaptation on the Swing in my 2013 Yeti. Have searched most of the forum (at least it feels like that!) but no joy. It’s probably there somewhere. Any ideas?.?
