Hi

im the owner of 2 skoda citigo. one 2015 and the other 2016. on my 2015 i feel something is wrong but i dont know the exact issue.

first, the first gears always "ringing" like the connection from the throttle to the engine is not ok. and its missing some power as well.

second. the same appear even on 90km\h drive. pushing on the throttle have this small ring again. in general the car drives ok. but for comparison the 2016 one doesn't have this issue and its more smooth. both cars made around 50k. 

the good one fuel consumption is 19.7 km\l, and the problematic one is 18.0km\l

 

any idea where to start?

Post a recording of the noise.

Hard to be sure what you mean by 'ringing'.... Could it be what is known as pinking in the UK (not sure how to translate that !)

Have both the 4 year old and 5 year old cars had recent servicing and have nice clean Airfilters fitted and new spark plugs?
