Fabia 1.2 Tsi service schedule ?

Featured Replies

Hi folks. Could you please advise on the fixed /variable service schedule for 2016-2017 Tsi 1.2 Fabia?

Buying, and need to know what services ought to have been done and at what mileages.

Also can you please advise what mileage for cambelt change?.

Thanks very much for any help.

If on Fixed it was each 9,400 miles (10,000) or 372 days or sooner.

On Variable / Flexible that was / is 24 months or 18,000-20,000 miles.

Not much gets done, or that much checked.

Oil & Filter at Fixed or Variable.

A Pollen Filter maybe at 2 years.

Brake Fluid Change at 3 years if Paid For.

Spark Plugs and Air filter should be at the 2nd Major Service, so 4 years / 40,000 miles.

At least those things should be checked.  But being changed might or might not happed.

All in all Full Main Dealer Servicing means Free Wash & Vacuums and looks and see and maybe parts and maybe no parts replaced.

The Body Check should be done and put on the system each time in, and tyre and brake visual inspections etc etc

Will just add that the pollen filter is 20,000 miles, I asked at the local main dealer. Of course if you want just take it out and clean it yourself or chuck it as I have done not being a hayfever sufferer. The cam belt change is "recommended" at 5 yrs but not mandatory and it depends what you are doing with the car as I found out when I asked Skoda customer services. The guy who spoke to me said "It's at your own risk but if you are not doing many miles you could go longer than that." I have discovered from chatting around, etc. that VAG is ultra careful in this area, other manufacturers say 60,000 and some even 100,000. They actually rarely break and more likely loose a one or more of the teeth which can be equally catastrophic. Apparently they don't like to be cold and therefore suffer the most stress on cold mornings in cold climates - might require thinking about if you live in Scotland.
