About to buy a 2015 Rapid Spaceback Sport advice about cam and water pump.

Featured Replies

About to purchase a used Rapid Spaceback Sport 1.2 petrol 2015. I know it needs a new cambelt at 5 yrs. The garage (non skoda) have said they will replace it but the 'the water pump is working fine and is on the other side of the engine so doesn't need doing'. Is this the case? I know timing belts and water pumps usually come as a package. Does anyone know what skoda say? Is the garage correct? What would you do?

Thanks
