Check Coolant - warning light

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have been getting the red 'check coolant' light on my 15 plate Octy.

I have had to top coolant up a number of times in recent weeks so there is definitely a leak. I'm hoping it's a hose and nothing worse. Could anyone advise me on some troubleshooting or common problems so that I can go to a garage with a semblance of knowing what I'm on about. I'm very cautious when it comes to trusting garages so any recommendations in or around Nottingham would be welcomed too.

Thanks

Some TDI suffered from leaking water pumps after 2-3 years so perhaps it's the same fault.
