Rear camera/sound actuator?

Featured Replies

Hey,

Two questions.

1. I have a retrofitted Amundsen MY18 in my  2015 Octavia vRS . Is there any way of getting the sound actuator volume setting when you are browsing the different vRS-mode profiles? I recall seeing such a setting somewhere online. Shouldn't it be an option when setting up the individual profile?

2. I recently rented a 2020 Passat. The rear facing camera stayed activated a while after I put the gear out of reverse which was quite handy as you could spot rear parking lines even though you started creeping forward. Is there any way to code similar behaviour?

Cheers

Doesn't the camera stay active until 15km/h by default?

Nope, disengages as soon as I put it out of reverse in my car!

Do you have a manual car and is it an OEM camera?

For engine sound that’s going to need a new CAN Gateway, it’s not a radio thing so if you want the soundaktor off you’ll need to code it off.

Yeah, I know I can do it with OBDeleven. But some models have the options in settings right?

Car is manual, camera is original equip.
