Coilovers finally fitted - PICS!!!!

Featured Replies

After weeks of waiting, I finally got my coilovers fitted today. Quite a firm ride, especially on 235/35/19 wheels. The rears are as low as possible but the fronts are about half way down. Price was

Looks great mate, IMO the ride height at the back is a little bit too slammed for me, but love the wheels.

Going back next week to have tracking done after they have settled. Going to get the rear lifted by about 10mm and the front by about 5mm. I do like it at the moment but just a little too low.

Thats bloody gorgeous. You know you have to get the windows tinted now!

Car looks bloody fantastic and it suits the wheels to a T.

But... and this is only my view.... really need to get some skoda badges made for the wheels to give it that 'standard' look if you follow me.

Pimpish! :orb_flami

Dam cool, i want!

You definately need to do this fluffy01016 it would finish the wheels off properly!!

So your going to put it back up then? Noooooooo!!!

It's great to see what it looks like lowered on 19's gives me an idea how mine will look, TBH I reckon the smaller wheels may suit it more but we will see.

You need to get the front lower or just bring the back up but I wouldn't bring the front up anymore? How are the wheels on full lock?

Is the ride firm and hard or is it too bouncy? What I mean is does the bumps come and go that makes you think it's good quality coilovers? Certainly looks good IMO!!

You happy with the kit and the look?

If your interested in this mate I have spoken to that guy on the UK-MKIV's.net and he has said he could do both our motors if we chat to him? Fancy it?

Probably grow on me and I won't get it adjusted. The ride is firm but not un-driveable. I think I would have got a better ride with KW's but at half the price I suppose I should expect the ride to be a bit more bouncy. Still well chuffed though. Just the windows to tint now

baker21, check your pm in a minute

We are going to have to meet up mate and then I can drool over your spec and see what your ride is like and you can see what it's like in a 'poorer' mans Superb, LOL!!

A bit like Baker21's Superb, a little too low I think but it really does look nice with them wheels !

Someone mention tints? ;)

Very nice, but I agree with comments made previously as it's a little too low for my tastes but you are going to rectify that so  .

Looking good although maybe a little too dark, could you do my motor if I gave you a pic?

I am getting the impression that people maybe aren't keen on lowered cars or is this just in this case where the back is a little too low?

Don't people agree that a lowered ride height looks a lot better than standard?

Lowered = much better.

Hows this? Might be a bit light...

LOVE IT!!!

All I have to do is get it done now.........

Thanks for that mate!!

looks good, i'm thinking off getting rid of my vRS (way to slow) and getting a nice tdi 130 superb. Whats the best one to get comfort? or whatever the other one is?

lowered is good, but each to their own. Having it lower also means less travel on the spring so it will be stiffer by default. My golf is as low as can be, but my octy is only slightly lower than standard,

Well the Elegence is the top spec mate but obviously costs more, I do wish that I had that spec but I am happy with the Comfort. Aditions of Sat Nav and Alloys make their liitle difference, just leather and chrome trim missing.

Depends how much you got to spend?

I can wholeheartedly recommend Tinter off UK-MKIVS.net. He did my tints and I've had no problems at all with them.

I think the rear could do with coming up just a touch to be level with the front, but apart from that, spot on mate... Looks fantastic!

I wouldn't bother getting Skoda badges made for the wheels, as the badges will be massive. Also, imho, everyone knows these are Audi style wheels anyway, so just leaving them blank is the best bet.

I really, really like your car though mate! Top Job!

Yeah Tinter is the dude I have been chatting too, I have seen some of his work on Golfs and Boras and it's been spot on.

Didn't realise you had yours done by him?
