Hi all, does anyone have a Fabia III with both the cruise control and speed limiter option fitted (so has the mode button on the stalk)? I am looking at retrofitting to a Rapid Spaceback that has just cruise only. I just want to know if your gas pedal has a switch at the end of it's travel. So when you put your foot down and when it is fully down - if you put more pressure does it move a bit further to signal to the car that you want to over ride the speed limit you have set.

Yes I believe they have to have that feature for safety (in a situation where you need to move away briskly you don’t want to be fiddling with mode buttons etc) 

it works a similar way to “lockdown” in an auto. 

Thanks for that. Our Renault has the little switch in the gas pedal and you can feel it when you get to the end of the travel. What is confusing me is there does not appear to be a part number for a different pedal in a manual rapid. The part no for the Netherlands Rapids which have the speed limiter fitted appear to have the same part number albeit for left hand drive. I’ll keep looking.

To be pedantic -- it's not a switch in the pedal, just a mechanical détente blocking the last bit of the pedal's travel. When the ECU senses the pedal is beyond that hard-coded point it disables the limiter.
