Dataplug connectivity issues

Featured Replies

Having just got my dataplug I installed into the OBD port after downloading the connect lite app. The phone recognised the plug , connected with it then on the initialising data-plug screen it just hangs. I've left it going for 20 minutes, restarted the app and reconnected the plug but it just hangs on that screen.

Has anyone else had this issue or does it just take a long time? The text at the bottom of the screen says it may take up to 60 secs but not in my case it seems.

Ignition on, but engine off; have you tried that?  What is the make and model of your dongle?  I have the Skoda Lite dongle and it's pretty useless really.

thanks for the reply. Yes I have tried with the ignition on, engine on but it just hangs on that screen each time. It's a VW dataplug ,(will have to check the model number), that I got via a link on this site, so  they have worked in other peoples Skoda before so in theory it should work.

I actually said engine off but can test mine later today.

Yes, I've tried with just the ignition on and also the engine on.

I tried today and the plug is a VW one made by Texcel but it does work on my Skoda Yeti.  I plugged it in and ran the app on my phone.  It requested the PIN and then updated itself.  I did log in to my Skoda account first.

It does not offer me anything I might use and I wish I'd saved my money!
