Enabling cornering fogs with additional settings for vRS

This enables the fog lights to function as cornering lights.

Controller 09 - Central Electronics
16 - Security Access - enter 31347
10 - Adaptations

Change the channels listed below - scroll to just over halfway down the long list of adaptation channels to find them. Do them one after the other, and do not come out of the adaptations until you have finished. If you do, you will have to close the controller and go back in and enter the security access code again. If on a vRS you only want the outer 2 bulbs to function as cornering fogs, then don't alter the first two channels, just alter the two channels listed as additional for the vRS, which are for the outer two bulbs.

Additional for vRS models only:

For non-vRS models only the first two adaptations need doing as you only have 2 bulbs :-)

PLEASE ENSURE YOU CHOOSE ABBIEGELICHT LINKS / RECHTS (CORNERING) AND NOT ABBLENDLICHT (LOW BEAM) - a number of users have PM'd me to ask why the fog lights are permanently lit, it is because they have just set them as low beam instead of cornering fogs

Folks,

I am having issues trying to enable corning fogs on my husband's SE.  It has fog lamps installed, but refuses to play nicely with the Leuchte12NL LB45-Lichtfunktion B 12 and Leuchte13NL RB5-Lichtfunktion B 13 .

Has anybody managed to get this working on their SE spec Octy FL?

Thanks

Max

Now labelled fixed.

Assuming you're using VCDS, can you post an adaption map for the BCM?

Ideally before you made any changes but after is fine is you tell us what you changed :)

  • 4 weeks later...

Try tweaking the following adaption channels:

static AFS light-Abdimmgeschwindigkeit change to 25 %/s
static AFS light-Maximaltemperatur change to 100 °C
static AFS light-obere Grenztemperatur change to 95 °C
static AFS light-untere Grenztemperatur change to 80 °C

@langers2kYEH - fantastic.  All is now working on my husbands SE.  Fogs now enabled when turning (although lights have to be on dipped for them to activate) and when engaging in reverse, both fogs now light up.

I consider this to be 100% successful.  Many thanks once again.
